Chandra’s friends, family and colleagues in the United States have pledged to keep his indomitable spirit alive and continue spreading his message of compassionate conservation to young Nepalis. The mission of the Chandra Gurung Conservation Trust is:

-- to mentor the next generation of Himalayan leaders in conservation and sustainable development

-- to support projects that embrace the vision of Chandra Gurung.

The CGCT is a registered non-profit organization. It was created by four Americans who worked closely with Chandra for many years and share his vision. The Trust is affiliated with a group of Chandra’s protégés and respected conservationists in Nepal who are partnering to create a lasting memorial to “Dr. Sah’b", under the name Chandra Gurung Conservation Foundation ( CGCF).
